....plays a lot of games on their plasmas?? if you do does it have a detrimental effect on the screen?? Or is screen burn now no longer a concern for plasmas.

Thanks in advance

I don't, but I do spend a lot of time on other forums where most members do - I don't think it's a problem unless you played the same game for about 2 weeks and there was an icon on the screen in a fixed position. I'm sure some people have done though...

The only time I have seen screen burn on a plasma was in Richer Sounds where the black bars had burnt into the demo screens showing films on the wall(ALL THE TIME!!)

I've had no problems with my Pany plasma even after a 5 hour session on the PS3. No image retention or anything else. Absolutely fine

Maybe a faulty set ?

Screen burn and image retention is very very unlikely with todays plasma's. Much improved technology and most tv's like my Pany have inbuilt gadgetry to prevent it happening. I don't think I can remember any posts about image retention problems on these forums.

All these myths came about from a few years back when the technology was prone to image retention in the 1st 100-200 hours.

All I can say is i was worried about the myths as well when buying my 1st plasma. Im glad to say that after all the advice I got I took the plunge and have had no problems with image retention or screen burn what so ever.

I did take it easy for the 1st 100 hours or so although that was more for peace of mind and to give it time to bed in.
