Who has gone from 5.1 to 7.1 and.....

where as I have now gone from 7.1 to the tellys speakers due to a decorating and all I can say is wow what a difference it makes especially with the carpet up it gives the sound a real tinny boomy echo'y feel.

So are the 7.1 users amps converting 5.1 tracks to 7.1? And is a 7.1 track as big a leap from a 5.1 converted track as a 5.1 converted track is from standard 5.1?............easy for me to say!

My amp uses dolby plIIx to expand the 5.1 to 7.1 . I wouldnt go out my way to get a 7.1 track but they to me are about the same though there are moments on hellboy 2 and forbidden kingdom that made me go wow.

I would'nt be without the extra 2 rears now though
