Which Yammi? 1900, 2065 or 3900?

I am looking for a receiver for the Monitor RX-range and I have currently the possibility to get a discounted RX-V1900, a good offer on a 2065 or a pretty good price on the 3900.

I am leaning towards 1900 as I can get it cheaper than 2065, but what is your recommendation.

I live in Norway, but these are the prices I can get:

RX-V1900: 950£
RX-V2065: 1020£
RX-V3900: 1558£

I am especially concerned to whether the 2065 packs enough power, and the same high-quality sound.

It's between the 1900 and the 3900. With the price differential I'd only spend the extra on the 3900 if interested in networking or internet radio. Other than that, the sound isn't that different.

Leaving features aside the quality of power and performance of the new RX-V2065 is better than that of the already execllent RX-V1900. This same is also true of the of the difference between RX-V3900 and the RX-V2065.

Sevenoaks Hi-Fi have the Yamaha Z7 on sale for £1,449.00 (!!!), which is around the same price point you are quoting for the RX-V3900. If you can stretch to that, don't hesitate, it is a superb beast of an AV Receiver. I had to pay £2k to procure it in May 2009, so you are saving about £500.
