Below budget but I'd be tempted to try the Tannoy F1 Customs with that system. They are fantastic little speakers and, having heard them on the end of a Teac Reference 300 system I can say that they gel very well with Teac gear.
The money left will be enough to bag a pair of Atacama Nexus stands which will make all the difference to the sound. A pair of F1 Customs on good stands will out-perform more expensive bookshelf speakers placed on a table, floor or other surface every time. Also get some decent speaker cable - QED Qudos is good but I've heard Silver Anniversary work extremely well in this kind of set-up.
