Hi, i'm considering a soundbar to replace my av system as I'm fed up with all the associated wires, it needs to have at least 3 hdmi sockets and preferably a sub, it can't be to wide as I only have a av rack, main use is going to be TV viewing in HD and SD, occasional Blu-ray viewing and some music listening, max budget £800

Sorry i can't help you with your question, have you checked out the reviews on WHFS&V,

nice avatar btw, just one question what are you going to do in two months time ?

You may be limited on the HDMI front as very few have 3 inputs. The JBL SB 400 is worth a look at the lower end of the scale, the Monitor ASB is good but no sub woofer and the Yamaha YSP 2200 is woth a very good listen.

I've looked at the yamaha range and really fancy one but I'm limited for space and I'm trying to find a wider TV cabinet but it can't be to wide say max 100cm, it also needs to be high as my current rack

Yes. You connect your TV's HDMI input to soundbar HDMI output first. If your TV supports HDMI ARC (audio return channel) then it can then get AV from all other devices. Otherwise you need to also connect an optical cable between your soundbar and TV, and then you're done.
