Which of these 2 set-ups for music and home cinema

I am pondering on either one of two set-ups for my living room.

1. Denon M30 micro-hifi (already use), Wharfedale Diamonds 9.1 (or similar that sound good at lowish volumes and can be placed against a wall), £70-£100 good dvd player with 1080p, sound/picture sync.

2. Yamaha YSP-500 sound bar, a £100 - £150 DVD player with 1080p and also plays CD's/Music well.

Help please.

I would definetly go for seperates over any soundbar do you want 5.1 or 2.1 .
