which large screen for sky

hi everyone.

just moved into a new place and finnaly get to have a large screen tv.but which one? figure i can have a 46 or 50.sky already in place so no problem there. will watch dvd, havent got bluray and havent decided to buy one yet so maybe i dont need 1080p. with a budget of approx £1000 i've seen samsung,panasonic and lg screens plasma and lcd but dont know what to buy dont see too many reviews on £1000ish large screens anywhere or maybe I should buy a better spec 40 or 42 what do you think?.

Panny PZ80. I think Empire Direct have a discount code on at the minute, otherwise Crampton and Moore etc. (I wouldn't buy a flat panel without a 5 year warranty). I picked up a PZ81 (built in Freesat and matches the PZ85 features wise IIRC) for the same price as the PZ80 from John Lewis but it's back up in price. HD is fantastic but SD is watchable.
