Which Dac am I using?

Hi

I listen to spotify through an Airport Express onto a Dacmagic then onto a Cyrus set up, i currently

connect the airport to the Dac using a 3.5mm to RCA and was wondering which Dac is being used

in this set up?

I have received an Apple TV from the tubby fella in red and am considering using this instead of the airport.

Would it make any difference sonically changing the connection method?

You should use an optical cable between the Airport Express and the Dacmagic and RCA between the Dacmagic and the Amplifier.

Yes, currently you aren't actually using the DACmagic as anything other than a pass-through, the DAC in the AE is being used, which makes the DACMagic pointless.

from the info given I have no idea at all as there is a lot of info missing.

so i would you you are not hearing anything as something is not connected.
