camerashy:My Pano 46G10 comes this week together with Sky+. I also want to move my DVD (4 years old) to the collection and am a bit unsure about what cables I need.....will I need 2 SCART leads and what others please.
More than likely, though it's worth checking your DVD player to see if it has a component output (three RCA phono connections which will be red, green and blue). If so, this will probably be a better connection to use than Scart, but will mean you'll also have to run a standard pair of RCA phono red and white audio leads to your TV / sound system for audio since component can only carry video information.
camerashy:I have also read that you should not spend more than £10 on a short length digital cable because there should be no improvement in picture/audio quality.
The argument of digital cables is a long and arduous one - do a search for HDMI cables on the forums and you'll find plenty of examples. Let's just leave at this - find a dealer who will let you a borrow a higher quality cable (look under the Reviews > Accessories section on this website to see which ones WHF rate as quality ones) or at least give you the option to return it within a certain time period for a refund, try it out for yourself and then decide if it's worth the extra money or not.
camerashy:I was thinking about the QED P2110 Performance SCART lead but would welcome anyones comments.
Yup, good quality Scart cable. Slightly cheaper are the Thor cables you can get from Amazon I think which are recommended by others, but you can't go wrong with the QED.
