Set up so far. Onkyo SR605 plus Marantz CD6002 (165 quid). Next up a DVD of some nature with HDMI. Still have option on the marantz DV7001 (445 quid) not deceided. What is the best way to hook up the CD +DVD and which brand. Andy I know you said to go for the MA BR2 or Tannoy F1 but I have an offer on the Arcam/Muso at 860 quid what you think?

I would suspect that I would need to hook up my system as follows.

SR605 to TV v HDMI cable.

Sat & HDDVD v HDMI cable.

Marantz CD6002 to Onkyo SR605 v digital audio.

I have seen the sony HDMI 1.3 are they OK if not which brand would you recomend.

Do you mean the Arcam Solo 5.1 movie system with Muso speakers? Or a separate Arcam DVD player?

Andy sorry it should read Arcam Muso/Logo speakers (860 quid). This was in ref to early post were you recomended the tannoy F1 or MA BR2 over the Kef3005SE. The Muso/Logo was offered by the agent as alternative to the KEF`s as stock still has not arrived.Neither has the Tannoy or MA yet there supposed to be here mid month. As recomended (by choice) I went down the CD + HDDVD route until the blu-ray cost and avilabilty is sorted. Taken some time but now have the Onkyo SR605, Marantz CD 6002 (165/-) and about to order the Toshiba EP35 for quid 119/-

So whats you advise on the speakers and cables.

Just got the Onkyo and marantz out the box and found the power plugs are two pin. Although Dubai is three pin etc same as UK this seems typical with most products. The Onkyo power plug is wired internal of the machine the other end has a two pin plug while the Marantz comes with a loose lead which both ends are two pin. Will this be a problem if so what is the solution.

Look sorry to be a pain but I nearly have my system sorted and need advise on these last three questions.
