Which amp is better suited?

Hey guys, I have a old Rega P2 turntable with a Rotel RA05 amp playing through B&W S606 bookshelf speakers.

I see there is a 2nd hand Rotel RA980BX available in my area which appear to be more powerful - would this be a better suited amp than what I currently have? Power and quality?

Are you dissatisfied with any particular aspect of the sound? The RA05 and 606s are a perfectly good combination, so it could end up being change for the sake of change.

the RA980BX is a lovely amp but it getting on a bit, so would be reluctant to move away from you have.

if you want more power perhaps look at th 07 version of your amp.

In all honesty though there wont be a lot of difference, especially at lower volumes.
