I just recently purchased a high end Denon AVR-4810 9.2 Surround Sound Amplifier. To complete my Home Cinema system I need to know some recommended SPeaker systems to match with it.

I've read Home Cinema, What HIFI, Tech Radar for reviews and the following are what I have identified as possibilities (feel free to add any or suggest others to consider):

KEF XQ range (Complete set £5000 - very pricey)
Monitor Audio Silver RX6 AV12 £2200
Dali Ikon 6 5.1 Package £2235
Tannoy Arena Highline 500 £2695
Bowers & Wilkins CM Series £4250 (expensive)
Teufel System 5

Basically I want great stereo sound to listen to music as well as top Cinema sound performance. The Denom Amp has RRP £2200 so not sure if to aim for a speaker set costing same amount or even more.

Appreciate any guidance you can give.

I would aim at the 2,000-2,500 range say The MA, or BandW 684 Package

I will take my pick between MA Silver & Dali.

I demoed the Dali Ikon 6 with Onkyo 876 and they are superb

I've got an AVR3808 and just upgraded my front L/R speaker to the MA RX6 as part of a stepped speaker upgrade and the Denon/MA combo sounds beautiful to my ears. Demoed the B&W 684 system and preferred the combo with the RX's. They have a more open sounding top end and some seriously detailed mids without sounding shouty.

Try and listen to some hi-rez music if you can as it really shows off the high-end extension at higher sampling rates.

Triniguy247,

IMO, the MA RX6 AV12 would be your best choice.

It is a stunning speaker package that delivers a huge sound with perfect poise, refinement and control - movies and music alike.

I was blown away when I heard it.
