Hi Gypsy,

I just got the Samsung 40B550 for £449 from PRC Direct yesterday, its alright they've put it up to £479 now i think. You can get the 37B550 from John Lewis for £499 if you want the 5 year warranty.

If you can wait, which i couldnt i'd try and get the sony W5810 either 37 or 40 when they come down in price. You can almost hear the money falling off teles at the moment.

Get on to your local sony centre, theirs always a deal to be done.

I to recently purchased the Samsung 37" B550, to be honest I find very little motion blur unless you look for it.

It excels with blacks and if you feed a Blu Ray signal it's a different beast altogether and maximises it's true potential, I don't regret the purchase at all and would recommend, fab for viewing & also easy on the eye.

ok folks i think i am almost decided to go for the samsung due to price and being what hi fi best buy.

my problem now is what size to go for?

my viewing distance is 11ft max and 5ft nearest.

will be viewing between sd and V+ HD.

and in the future blueray DVD.

As I said I bought the Samsung 37" B550

My viewing distance is about 2.9m at the most and I find this fine for the 37" with SD & Blu Ray, to be honest the main reason I got the 37 over the 40 was the price a whopping ?149 in the difference, but as I said I personally prefer this distance and it suits all concerned.

Yeah, i'm happy with it, it cant be faulted for that price i think. Like i say though i'm watching it via around 12 metres of co axial cable so its a bit unfair to compare it to the tele i have in the living room which comes direct off my sky hd box.

I watch it from just under 3 metres away and i'm happy with the picture so with you watching from further away you'll have no problems.I'd watch all the sd through the built in digital tuner which gives good pictures. Hope you get sorted soon.
