Where do I go next?

Hi,
I've had hifi forever, usually budget and second hand. I've put together a basic, headphone oriented system but am wondering now how to expand it to include speakers. This what I have:

Clearaudio Concept turntable
Clearaudio Concept MM cartridge
Clearaudio Basic+ phono amp
Beyerdynamic A2 headphone amp
Beyerdynamic DT1990 Pro headphones

The turntable has various Funk Firm parts fitted, to good effect and has been professionally set up. Next moves here could be a Clearaudio Maestro V2 MM cartridge, which I've used previously and is wonderful and a Funk Firm arm.

The problem now is how to expand the system, with power amp/monoblocks and speakers. Any suggestions?

What size room are you looking to fill, Keith?

You’ve got a great turntable setup. Will you likely want further sources, such as a streamer or CD player? And what budget do you have in mind?

You could easily spend a grand on an amp and double that on speakers. Equally, you could get a decent amp and speakers for a grand.

As you're a headphone listener, I'd suggest getting out there and trying some speakers for yourself. You'll get a barrage of varying suggestions, most of which will be owned by those suggesting them, or they'll be 'wants' by those suggesting them. Loudspeakers will be the most personal thing in your system (along with your TT setup), and you need to like what they do, and you'll need to like how they work in your room. Then choose a suitable amp to partner well with them, and you're done.
