I've just purchased at a good price a Teac vrds701-cdt to replace my Audiolab 6000cdt it's built like a tank. Not very well at the moment so not put it in the system yet.

I recently bought some Cambridge Audio P100 wireless headphones, primarily for use when lsitening to foreign language podcasts when I go for my daily four mile walk and in the evening. I got sick of my Bose QC25, the cable constantly snags on vegetation, and the bass is overegged and mushy. My Sennheiser IE200 are horrible, it takes me a few minutes to untangle the cable, and there is no isolation from traffic noise . I’m amazed how good the sound is, comparable to my Sennheiser HD600 if not better. I really did not expect such good sound quality from wireless cans. It’s very neutral, very clear, no excess bass as is the current fashion. Music is wonderful with them. I compared wireless and wired connection, with my iPhone and iPad, with a range of music. and couldn’t hear a difference. User replaceable battery and ear pads too. If they had a better head band covering, such as painted metal, and replaceable headband padding, they would be premium in my book. I’m sure high end Sennheiser and some others sound better, but until a rich long lost relative dies and leaves me their estate, these will do.

I thought I treat myself for Xmas, just purchased second hand from eBay Klipsch R-50M reference speakers. These are virtually new, seller had it boxed, stacked on the shelf. Really in prestine condition and nice price.

I wanted a more forward sounding speakers for the diner room setup.
My old Dali's Zensor 1's are going on eBay. These were little gems, hopefully Klipsch R-50M don't dissapoint.

Good as new for £175 is a great deal. I think I need to hear these, as they seem to be getting great reviews and are very sensitive also. I'm also looking for speakers with a bit more bite and detail in the treble. I just checked on their website and yes, screw in stands. It's a shame they only make them in black.

Went out and spent about 150 on new vinyl on Saturday but had a couple of itches scratched. A Rotel FM/DAB+ tuner and the Bluesound Icon.. the later only if they sort out BBC sounds access.

The more costly Klipsch RP600M series have Walnut as an option but hard to find in stock.
I saw the reviews, this helped to sway me and it is aesthetically pleasing too.

Im hoping to get a home demo of the Kef LS60's, the plan is to get them in whilst Mrs Roog is out, the sight of huge speaker boxes usually gives a negative bias event before they see the narrow profile, I'm sure that they will vanish when placed either side of the TV!

People say positioning of your speakers will impact on the sound acoustics but I say, never underestimate the power of The Wife.....
...No won't do, got to move it there, no left a bit, No No No bit further..
Wha?.... it's up against the wall.
Why don't you put it in the conservatory....... :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

honestly, I really don't have a clue why I bought the thing. Arrived today. I have no CD's and haven't collected any for years :)
Ouch, I thought I was bad :)
I suppose it's a nudge to start your CD collection! Does it accept USB? If so you can play your downloads via SSD or USB memory stick.
Worse case scenario sell it on eBay or give it to a love one as Christmas pressie?

My Klipsch R50M arrived yesterday, these replace the Dali Zensor 1 in my diner room setup.

Yes and oooops!!! when I was measuring the shelf dimensions, I clearly mixed up the measurements with the height and the width, not having a good run lately.

I had to lay them on it's side, aesthetically it's pleasant and the sound is crisp and lively, I like them a lot!

I need to tidy up those cables :)Z1.JPGZ2.JPGZ3.JPG

I happen to want a different power cable with c13 instead of figure 8.

I managed to trade it in a store and got cable an plugs from supra

A hifi nerd in the store offered to put it together

I wanted to have a riaa with a subsonic filter, søren didn't have anything used, i found a new ifi zen air phono, lower tier yamaha r-n streaming amps don't have the best phonostage and it has a subsonic filter for less than 110 euros
