Whats the best way to channel 4 audio signals into 2 inputs?

I want to connect an Xbox 360 using a Monster VGA which has 2 separate phono cables and also a HDD/DVD recorder which uses component leads with separate phono's to the Panasonic TH-37PX80B which only has 1 set of audio inputs on it.

I've seen a Philips stereo "Y" adaptor that looks as if it would do the job except the description seem to suggest its designed for the signal to travel the other way i.e 1 channel into 2 rather than the other way.

One user review of the product on Amazon said the volume of each attached device was halved which dosn't sound right.

Just wondered if anybody else out there has had to double up on the audio input and what's the best way to do it without sacrificing the quality of the signal.

Thanks

Nor me, but it's got to be better than connecting both inputs in parallel using Y adaptors

Yes, but the OP only actually needs to connect two sources to his system. And in the context of his original question i don't think that switchbox the Prof suggests will be any drawback

Thanks to all for your suggestions, I have invested in fairly decent cables will the quality of the cables be compromised by making the final connection to the TV with thinner cables.

Dose anyone know of a good quality automatic selector.

Thanks again guys.

I don't know of any automatic selector for this functionality, and I am sure the selectors mentioned will be more than adequate for the job
