Dali Zensor 3s, Pioneer A-30 amp and Marantz M-CR610 system. The Marantz/Dali combo will be going with me into 2014 and beyond.

In 2014 I'd like a longer zoom lens for my Nikon DSLR and a tablet so that I can look at my favourite websites on the sofa and have the Marantz control app on a larger screen. I'd also like to get some sort of iPod for my train commutes, and I'll be due a new mobile.

The Onkyo amp and AVI player below. The various disc spinners will all be replaced by one source in the sales though. Current thinking is a Marantz UD-7007.

My Creek CD player, Arcam DAC, Epos speakers, and Rega P3 TT.

I also received a Nexus 7 for my birthday which is brilliant, and has amongst other things re-ignited my love of books. The Squeeze Commander app is a great way to operate my SBT from the comfort of my settee, whilst browsing or reading. My TV & Film viewing has reached an all time low level.

As 2014 approaches I have nothing on the horizon to buy, other than lots more music and books.

Hardly a pauper's system, even second hand. Six months ago my amp, CD player and TT cost me a grand total of £225.

In my living room I'm using a Sony STR-DB930 and Denon CD player, Thorens TT. First two free and the Thorens for 50 quid plus some other bits and pieces. Good sound needn't cost a fortune.

Q Acoustics 2020i speakers. Best set of speakers I've ever owned...........also the buildquality is really, really good.

The only thing that I don't like is the speaker connections...........they should be on the back ;)

I think I've had a year to forget, I haven't done anything, I've been nowhere and bought nothing (much!). I think the only tech I've bought is a 16GB USB drive, and that's it!! :boohoo:

I've already got plans for next year though...
