But you are PP , the mega poster who helps all the noobs out by delving into your bottomless pit of experience , the guy who wants to find out if the 'valve boys' have got it right. Why the f88k are you asking for tweak reccos to try.

Your Leema is 'brilliant'. Always told you it was bright but you wouldnae have it ;)

Please Floydie - yes I do and try to help out noobs if poss, and 'no' it's not a bottomless pit of knowledge - like to think that experience does count for something.

Yes, the Leema is cracking and not bright. This is a long and rather boring misconception. I love it! It still makes me smile, four years after I first purchased it.

Nice system PP but in my opinion (and no it's not a cable thread) but you do appear to have a bit of a mish-mash on that front.

Mine was the same a few years ago just using whatever I had but I decided to stick with one brand (actually two if I'm truthful) throughout.

It can, and I think it does, make a reasonable difference.

Thanks, Al ears, this is my initial thought.

Move your speakers around a bit. Waste your money on cables by all means, believe what you like, but - and you know it's coming - I've got two £200+ cables in my setup; Chord Chorus and Atlas Navigator.. I've also got an set of £8 Fisual ones too. Difference? Negligible.

And some people (well, one...) on this site tell me that they can't possibly not make a difference. Sure, they do make a difference, but having gone through so many setups and quite a few in recent years, not one has ever made the kind of startling change others claim. The difference is minimal. And it's got sweet FA to do with my ears or my setup. Yet they still clutch at straws - the most recent being from Thomsonuxb "man, those speakers"...give it up.

Hence the speaker suggestion; move them around a little, play around with the toe-in, rest assured, that'll give you more a change than any bit of fancy-boxed interconnect ever will, same brand or no.

Or get a Sonos / Apple TV / whatever. I don't buy your claims that you couldn't deal with setting it up or using it.

there are definitely big benefits to had from positioning the speakers in their optimum position.

i've seen loads of photo's of people's set-up's and a lot of them look like they are positioned for convenience rather than performance.

i'm relatively lucky that i have an understanding girlfriend, and so i think i've got mine in the right place.

give it a try PP, you have nothing to lose.

Personally, I would be looking at "tweaking" the cables.
First try a Tacima mains conditioner, next change the kettle leads, in particular mains to Leema amp. Then maybe get hold of some Atlas Hyper 2.0 or Chord Odyssey 2.

--- Just my opinion ---
