What to go with RN602? Monitor Bronze 2 or Dali Zensor 3

Hi,

First thanks to everyone for a great forum and thread - got a lot from eveyone's comments. Hoping you can help with me out again.

I got my hi-fi system out of storage, buying the Yamaha RN602 as the amp... It's just arrived and I excitedly plugged everything in to find both sets of speakers have been trashed whilst I was away.

So what do you think should I rush out and buy Monitor Bronze 2 or Dali Zensor 3s.

Or should I return the amp and go for something altogether different?

I mainly play hiphip, folk, accoustic tracks at the moment but am also re-united with a large 90s drum&bass collection from my younger days, I'll be playing a mix of streaming, digital and vinyl too.

Thank you for any help you can offer.

Not very helpful I suppose but nobody hear can tell you how those speakers are going to sound to you. As always you are going to have to audition yourself. Listen to as many as you can in your price range before parting with cash.

Also it is advisable to budget for some decent speaker stands when buying speakers of this, or any, level.

I'm unashamedly biased, but I would go with the Dali's everytime!! A very very good speaker, and reasonable cost. I have no idea what it is like with a Yamaha, but can't imagine there are many amps that could hurt its sound too much. I have music which whilst not exactly folk in the true sense, it does have a hint of it. Also some which has a hint of acoustic as well. The detail of the Dali's is a real bonus on this sort of music. Oh, and I use them without stands, and there is no problem whatsoever. They work fantastically well without them, and anyway, a lot of rooms would look daft with stands.
But definitely go and take a listen to both. Be very surprised if you were anything but impressed with the Dali's though. Quite a smart looking speaker as well.
