Hi everyone , apologies for what is probably a simple question !

This is my first time doing my own home cinema system and i purchased the Sony STR-DG820 Amp and a KEF KHT1005.2 HOME CINEMA SPEAKER SYSTEM .

I have it all connected up and running apart from the subwoofer , im not sure what cable to purchase for this ( im a newbie to this kind of thing ) . The amp only has one black output socket for a subwoofer , but the subwoofer i have bought has 2 inputs , one red , one white.

What exactly do i need to make this connection please ?

Thanks in advance for all your help everyone.

George.

In the short term, just to get going, you can use a standard phono red/white cable and just plug the one colour in since the sub is mono .(as long as its the same colour at each end obviously)Don't plug both colours into the sub as it can cause buzzing.Thereafter upgrading your cable is a personal thing and you can find many threads on the relative merits of dedicated/expensive cables on this site.
