Never listen to music radio unless I'm in the wife's car. Will get more into it in the future with the addition of an all in one music streamer.

In the car it's always talk radio stations. Never BBC

I think I must've heard Radio 4 virtually every day for 50 years.
But I doubt I could manage 2 days of James O'Brien on LBC....if the adverts didn't kill me first.
I hate them all on LBC, Ian Dale, Nick Ferrari, James O'Brien.
Mouth piece for the establishment.
Radio 4 is tolerable. It's very hard to find something I like on radio, maybe just music, less 🦜 talk.

Mrs. P has paid the first meaningful compliment since buying the Dalis last night. I had Jazz FM on Freeview via Sky box/TV. Only playing it quietly as it was around 11pm. She said, "that sounds lovely". Only taken her about 8 months. Ho-hum.
If you like Jazz, try Jazz24 based in Seattle.

DG…

Two stations getting recent play for me are:

1. Radio Paradise - Rock Mix; and
2. Hotmix - Country

Both for background / guests over / working as opposed to "serious" listening (not that I do much of that).

Day to day, BBC Radio 6, Radio X or Jazz FM. At my job, where I drive a van, I like Absolute Radio 80s. On a Saturday, BBC Scotland for the football.

I have internet radio steaming in the background from breakfast time until evening meal time, and then sometimes again late night. Breakfast Show = Marley in the Morning (All Sounds Radio, but also syndicated by various local radio stations); then NTS Radio Channels 1 and 2 (no ads, sub is voluntary) - they play such a wide variety of rarely heard and new music across many, many genres . . . I channel hop between Ch1 and Ch2, and discover great new music daily.

I was about to start a new thread and then I saw this one which whilst old seems to have come back to life a bit so thought try here 1st.

I used to listen to Wave105 which was brilliant and the DJ's / commentators have a great and often self deprecating humour amongst themselves, they got bought by Greatest Hits Radio and some of the team went over but some of the other DJ's were pants.

A lot of the original Wave team seem to have migrated to Nation Radio South and a lot of the banter is back, whilst overall the music choice is excellent and a lot centred around 80's / 90's I just wish they place a few of the newer pop artists.

Any recommendations for something that has a broader spread but not into rapp, garage or anything like just good pop / rock.
