I am also interested in this TV, in fact I wrote a post in this forum a month ago about it. For your information: Iïm living in Denmark, and several internet stores have had it for sale the last month or so. One of these announced it to be in stock today! I just checked it and the date is now changed till April 28th. By the way, the price here is ?1309 (£1159)

Yesterday - after hours - I went by the local Sony Center and noticed that they have got one in their showroom (price here: ?1745, £1545). I will check it out as soon as possible, but donït expect anything else than my immediate assessment based on watching in broad daylight.

I hope that Whathifi would take interest in making a review. Sony claims it to be of same high (!) quality with less power consumption. My concern is how well the underlying technique (micro tubular HCFL) is performing compared to CCFL and LED.

I have just bought a sony 40w45500 tv 2 days ago. My 2 day impressions of this TV are exellent. Have not seen any of the problems that have been posted on other stes about the colour bleeding. Have check out the TV from every angle and every setting and I have found nothing. If you find this problem my opition is your TV is faulty. I got this TV from Richer Sounds (£874) As I found this to be the cheapest.

Go treat yourself you wont be dissapointed

My opition out of 5

Analogue TV.............5 (stunnig to watch norm TV)

HD / Blueray.............5 (Gawd I thought I was actually in the movie I was watching absulotlly stunning)

Sound......................4 (only reason for not giving sound a 5 is that i find the presets not to my liking so i manually set my own sound settings)

XBox........................5 (this is how gaming should be seen and played. HD format of the highest quallity from a top of the range TV)

Built in Freeview........5 (this is excellentwith a very easy to use EPG)

If there are any question you would like to know regarding this TV dont be afraid to ask me.
