I've been dreaming of updating my KEF speakers and Yamaha amp for ages and was really keen to purchase the B&W MT60D's. But we've got a problem!
We've just moved into a period mid terraced cottage which is small and very quirky in it's layout. Also sound pollution from one one cottage to the other isn't great so we need to find a system which does great sound but not at high volume levels. Due to the layout of the room we can't get a 5.1 system in place because we would be overloaded with speakers. Plus we just can't make the layout work for a 5.1 system.
I thought about plan B, maybe to just have two speakers and go the HiFi route, and not worry about the movies we watch. That would be ok but normal book shelf speakers are to big for the room.
So, I'm after advice:
- Are there good quality satalites out there that you can just have as a two speaker system?
- I've not done much research on soundbars but is this a good way to?
Any help much appreciated.
