I know many WHF members here despise specs and tech talk but please knock your head a bit.

Manufacturers are required to publish accurate technical specification BY LAW. Guess why is that? To protect us from manipulation and abuse. Why ignore what is in our own interest? Would you ignore technical specification when you buy a car and just drive it?

I think most people look for specific features when they buy a product (whether HiFi, Cars or otherwise). So they don't necessarily care about the detailed technical specifications.

When buying anything, an individual will only check out the specs/features that matter to them - I doubt they would check out every single measured specification. I would presume most people would look at fuel consumption (except maybe those with a few bob in the bank who are possibly buying a status symbol.

It doesn't matter how neutral you make your speakers - they can be as accurate as you like, but if the buyers don't like the look of them, they're staying in the showroom. And you can't blame people for that, nor any other reason why they choose a product. It is their money, and while you can make recommendations, they will spend it how they like.
