What Hi Fi comparisons

I would really like to see comparisons of high-end A/V Surround Sound Processors and their matching Power Amplifiers from What Hi Fi. There are a few good 'HD' combos now and I for one (and I know there are quite a few out there as well) am interested in finding out which combo will come out on top.

NAD M15HD Surround Sound Processor and NAD M25 7-channel Power Amplifier

Denon AVP-A1HDA Surround Sound Processor and Denon POA-A1HD 10-channel Power Amplifier

Anthem D2v Surround Sound Processor and Anthem P5 5-channel Power Amplifier

I know that the Anthem appears to be 'king' of the lot but it would be nice to see a proper comparison of all 3 combinations to find out who comes out on top, regardless of price.

I tend to agree with you Andrew.

Even though I am not considering buying equipment like this I would anyway be very interested to see how the NAD setup fares compared to the Denon setup.

Funnily enough there are reviews on the Anthem and Denon kits mentioned above in the UG to High End supplement that comes with September's WHF issue (just dropped through my door). Admittedly not a comparison, but something at least, and you can tell from the ratings and price of the two which is better (don't wanna give anything away for those waiting for the magazine

).

Thanks, guys, for your replies.

I know here in Australia, we have a fair percentage of audio enthusiasts who go the pre-power route, and like the convenience of not having to go with separate 2-channel pre-amps.

I have been happy with the performance of my Marantz AV8003 with my NAD M25 but would be keen for comparisons between these other units, as well.

I am confident that the Anthem would take top honours but it would be good to see what What Hi Fi makes of the Denon when comparing the Anthem to the Denon.

I also don't think that What Hi Fi has reviewed the NAD Masters Series multi-channel gear so it would be great to see what you guys think of them, especially with the new M15HD partnered with the well-known M25 7-channel Power Amplifier.
