Thinking a bit out of the box, and because surround receivers devalue a lot, here´s another suggestion:

For the price, this Yamaha receiver will be better than any stereo amp you can buy new up to 700-800 euros.
Plenty of power (1 of the criticisms people had about this type of receivers was that they were not able to drive all speakers well at the same time, a problem you will not have because you want to drive only 2 speakers), many features (that you may or may not want to use, but it´s nice to have anyway) and from a reliable brand.

That is an excellent amplifier and good value at that price. My brother is still using the one that I owned.
Note: although it says 1052 in that link, it appears to be the 1062
