Interesting thoughts Ben! Confirms that one really should keep the cost and quality of all elements in a system in balance. No point spending £1,300 on a receiver and £900 on speakers. With budget speakers you probably never hear a difference in sound quality between 2 top of the range amps. Same will be true for cables. Always mind the weakest link!
