I just watched first episode of Starfleet Academy, what a load of tosh.
I lost the will to live, maybe I'll muster some strength and watch the second episode.View attachment 10902
Spoiler Alert

On the Fame Academy Wall, l managed to catch a glimpse of old student academy names, Spock and Wesley Crusher appeared.
So I assume it ended up well in the Academy for young Wesley.

If you recall in the Next Generation, he was involved in space cadet fatal accident. As punitive action, the high command of the Academy cancelled his final year, which meant he'd failed to graduate.
There may have been an episode I missed on Picard's Voyager but I never knew the final outcome of young Wesley.
His relationship with his mentor Picard was also stained and his future prospects in the Academy was looking most grim.

The clue on the Wall of Fame was indicative that it finally ended well and fully redeemed from his pass short comings.

Just watched The Glory again. Damn, doesn’t Korea make some great TV these days. Story about a girl bullied at school plotting her revenge for 20 years. But it’s not the slash and burn type revenge, it’s ruining the perpetrators lives by destroying their marriages and relationships and putting them against each other.

Never seen acting as good and a great script, with the lead actress just magnificently dour and resolute in getting her revenge. Just fantastic and watching it second time was just brilliant.

Without a doubt the best TV series I have watched.

Don’t watch it with dubbed voices though, watch with subtitles, otherwise you get American accents spoiling it.

Live Aid on DVD. I can understand some aspects of the lyrics to Do They Know it's Christmas getting some criticism now, but as an act of mass philanthropy I think it was wonderful. A pity that some of the egos on show were a bit OTT. Bono clearly did a lot to keep the cancellation of Third World debt on the agenda, but his performance reminds me of the old joke about what's the difference between God and Bono? God doesn't strut about the place pretending he's Bono...

EDIT: The Who win my award for most self-indulgent and OTT rendering. Don't get fooled again went on for what felt like hours. Still, seeing Daltrey pogoing up and down on fast forward almost made it worthwhile.

And there's me under the impression that anything religious could be deleted......

I'm expecting eBay delivery of Thunderbolts 4K UHD today, going to watch this in the evening. If you're thinking of purchasing this you can get this for £17.49 with vendor's discount voucher - as per above. £2.50 cheaper than Amazon and HMV.

I originally watched this on my streaming channels, great movie, love Florence Pugh.....probably the best Marvel movie in ages.
