Scientist are now saying, dinosaurs had fluff like the feathers on a chicken. Why am I thinking of that tall bird on Sesame Street? 🙂

Do I sense some 'big kid' excitement?! Certainly what I feel - recall vividly watching the old one with my eldest who was thrilled by it all.

Quite enjoyed the first one it was very well constructed.
No 'big kid' about it I just like a well made and educational programme once in a while.....

Watched the recent programme about assisted dying on the Beeb - didn't cover anything new. Having seen my mum die a horrible, painful, lingering and undignified death, I hold very strong views on the subject but try to at least hear the other side's views. I am yet to find them at all persuasive.

Watched the recent programme about assisted dying on the Beeb - didn't cover anything new. Having seen my mum die a horrible, painful, lingering and undignified death, I hold very strong views on the subject but try to at least hear the other side's views. I am yet to find them at all persuasive.

I’m very strongly in favour of being able to end your life, quickly, painlessly and lawfully, before the indignity and pain become intolerable. My wife is too.

My uncle got hepatitis (the worse one) from contaminated blood transfusion and watched him deteriorate over the years.

He had the most painful and agonising death. The morphine wasn't enough. I was screaming at the nurses to give him more.

I was eagerly waiting for the call from the hospital to tell us he died. I only wish there could have been some legal intervention to put him to rest humanely.

This is why the bill needs to be dealt with soon and passed into law.

For the past few weeks I've been watching repeats of The New Avengers. I have the series on DVD somewhere.

It was always knocked as it didn't measure up to the Mrs. Peel series, but I think that's unfair. It had a different dynamic to the "Peel" episodes, mainly due to Steed had two assistants in Gambit & Purdey. The reason was Patrick McNee was too old for all the physical scenes.

Of course there was some awful episodes, as did the two "Peel" series, and TNA didn't quite have the kudos of the older series. That was due to Brian Clemens wanted a more hard-edged Avengers, and to do so, had to remove some of the comedy aspect. But many of the episodes, especially from series one, wouldn't look out of place in the original "Peel" series.

The last four episodes, made in Canada, are an instant avoid.

The others are worth watching as the chemistry between the lovely Jo Lumley & Gareth Hunt was very good. I prefer TNA to the Tara King series.
