After the first few series, We felt No 9 went a little downhill but, series 8 & 9 brought a return to form, with 9 very dark, even by Pemberton and Shearsmith standards.
Have you seen the hour-long piece about the series coming to an end? It's on iplayer at the end of series 9. Watched last night and really enjoyed it.

Also watched the latest 24 Hours in Police Custody, about three separate people involved in the crystal meth business in (of all places) Norfolk. I reckon they should have called it Breaking Broad...

After recommendation from two friends Rach and I have just finished season 1 of All Creatures And Small. I vaguely remember watching the original when I was a kid and wasn't sure about watching a remake but I love it. Will be starting season 2 tonight.

Watched the first two so far, rather good. Would have liked Lucy Worsley's take on this as she is brilliant at these kind of historical features.
James May is undoubtedly the best presenter out of the three TG presenters. I don't enjoy anything the other two put out as it verges on imbecilic and staged.

The Young Ones on blu ray. Still looks a little tatty as you'd expect, but a definite improvement on the DVDs. For example, I'd never noticed in the one where they have a house party that the lecturer is snogging one of the other partygoers.

It's dated in so many ways, but was such a massive influence on comedy that I'll always have a soft spot for it.
