The Achtung Baby covers album covermount from a certain UK periodical this month.

Got to say, I've listened to it about 10 times now and bits of it really are rather stunning (Right now the Gavin Friday version of The Fly & the NIN version of Zoo Station are on heavy rotation).

Well worth the price of the magazine to get to hear it (but then though I'm not a particular U2 "fan" I still think Achtung Baby is my absolute favourite record of all time so perhaps I'm biased). :)

Very true, this is my radio station of choice.

Interesting point about the SQ too. You read all the threads about the relative merits of Wave, FLAC, MP3's et al. but I've long thought that some of the best sounds have come via internet radio at 128 kbps. Via my NA7004 ( and before that my M-CR603) Radio Paradise sounds superb. You never know what's coming on next, and you're guaranteed some pleasant surprises most of the time.

Radio Paradise (RP) has excellent 3D imaging, soundstage and separation IMHO. I assume they use an EQ to boost bass, but it's not too unsubtle? Now trying RP via 192k Ogg Vorbis, which adds a wee bit more mid- and top-end detail. Which is nice 8)

This is a delight, if you've never heard Sandy Denny before this is a wonderful place to start...

Ah, yes, what a great singer she was. I love her album 'The North Star Grassman and the Ravens', with 'John the Gunn' being a real highlight. She recorded an album with The Strawbs before her Fairport days as well and there is a beautiful version of 'Who Knows Where The Time Goes' on there (better than her version with Fairport IMO).
