Getz/Gilberto ~ S/T (SHM-SACD)
Annette Krebs/Taku Unami ~ motubachii
Graham Lambkin/Jason Lescalleet ~ Air Supply
Michael Pisaro/Taku Sugimoto ~ 2 seconds/b minor/wave

Firstly the GG disc really sounds wonderful, vivid and rich, not the kind of music that I listen to much but this is lovely.

The other three are some recent releases from the excellent Erstwhile label, this area of music never seems to run out of interesting ideas.

Continuing with music from Canada, Owen Pallett and his virtually indefinable compositions. He primarily uses classical instruments, but with a twist that lends itself to pop and prog. The sound is fabulously uplifting and melodic and supports Palletts softly sung vocals very well.

Currently enjoying the Debut Album Movin On, from Stoner/Doom Metal English 3 piece, Trippy Wicked...

Which is available as a FREE download, in MP3, AAC, Ogg Vorbis, ALAC and FLAC formats from the bands website HERE

And to quote the band, "Movin On is a 10 track, 52 minute epic musical journey of songs about living the good life, fire, growing beards, girls, aliens, loneliness, pirates, love and so much more. Movin On is full of the sexiest, sleaziest stoner, doom, blues, whatever-the-hell-you-wanna-call-it riffs you ever heard"

David Oistrakh's playing in the Violin Concerto is wonderful and the Decca sound is excellent throughout the disc. I've loved this disc for many years and wish more people knew Hindemith's music. He tends to get forgotten about, but he composed some superb orchestral music and his solo piano pieces are very good too.
