Can't recommend this highly enough, two extreemly talented musical craftsmen working in harmony...DavidNorway, you should love this too ( it has full orchestra backing on many tracks...)

I completely agree. Costello's voice has never sounded stronger than it does on this record, and Bacharach's arrangements are beautifully simple and uncluttered.
'Be my thief' is my favourite track. The female vocal at the end of the track gives me goosebumps every time I hear it.

That's Lisa Taylor and it's brilliant for sure, but God Give Me Strength is my stand out track. Keen to hear what DavidNorway thinks...
Brilliant album, its been on 6 or 7 times today,as many other good albums it got better and better, more of an evening sound for me,not got a favourite track yet but im really liking The Long Divsion, bit funky in a mellow way. Thanks again for the heads up,any more like this send them my way.Proof again that this thread is by far the best on the forum.
My evenings entertainment...Doanld Fagan, James Taylor, Goldfrapp, Sting, George Michael, David Arnold, Scott Matthews, Jill Scott and Robert Plant with Alison Krauss. Maybe a bit of Tori Amos, Shirley Bassey and Tracey Thorne thrown in for good measure...aahhh...mellow
Debut six-track EP from a bunch of cool Paris-based geezers: mix of hip-hop, soul, blues, funk; lead singer has fabulous voice; French and English lyrics; nicely recorded, too.
"There's a compelling visual dimension to their work which
matches the freshness and vigour of their lyrics and music"
- Tom Robinson (BBC Radio 6)
Title track available as free ALAC or FLAC DL via BandCamp.com - LE CLICKETY - whole EP is '€6.99 or more'.
Or from iTunes for £4.74.
TBH, bit confused re price cos I DL'd from BandCamp and paid in US$ - '$6 or more'. Eh?? (I've emailed BandCamp...)
Snow on the ground outside, cosy and warm inside, a full orchestra as backing to a beautifully reallsed concept album charting the rise and fall of the emotional journey through a relationship...must be Saturday morning...
