The Small Faces had a bigger musical impact, as did The Kinks and The Spencer Davis Group. But I love most genres incl all the lovely Motown, Stax and other labels that offered something a little different.
I would say that there are millions around the world who would disagree with you, but I’ll leave it there.

Currently listening to King Crimson - ‘In The Court Of The Crimson King’, on vinyl.

Could you change the culprit for a less sensitive RCD?
The electrician replaced the RCD as he couldn't find the fault regardless of it tripping off whilst he was there (without anything plugged in), that's the problem with intermittency.
There's not much power draw to be honest as it's a small bungalow with only regular things in it.
I'll get to the bottom of it, I have a friend coming to look at it who works as a builder although not a sparky he knows more than most who has more time.
I'm just listening to the lumineers in the livingroom instead for now as it seems to be the bedroom that the problem originates, I have my main hifi in there as it's set furthest away from the neighbours, sods law I guess

Oh well, I wish you the best of luck and hope you get this very annoying annoyance sorted very soon.

Intermittent faults are the worst - but that's not a reason for an electrician to have charged you, but left you no better off.

If it is an earth leakage breaker that's tripping, the live to neutral (normal) power consumption of any appliance is irrelevant.

And if the ring main is tripping, I'm not sure why you think the cause might be in the bedroom.

Your mate will need some patience and a process of elimination but hopefully he will cure it.

(I'd start by completely isolating any connected washing machine).

This morning received Talking Heads - Stop Making Sence on CD. I've had the vinyl version for years but as I haven't replace the cartridge yet I decided to buy the CD.

Some really cracking tracks - I own 4 albums of theirs, all on vinyl, and they are such an underrated group.

John Darko has a very interesting video regarding this album and its many iterations and formats, concerning mastering and dynamic range. He reckons the original CD release was much better than the latest.

I think he ranks the Blu Ray version higher than the other versions. There are many releases of this album.

I almost want to dig out my very old CDs now and see if I can appreciate the recordings, compared to the average muck on Spotify.

This CD isn't remastered just the ordinary pressing. That said, whether it's a good recording or not I love some of the tracks.

I have as I thought the washer might be touching a brass pipe, I made sure when the electrician came everything Inc the cooker was unplugged to save time and false suggestion.
I've still replaced every lead in the bungalow against my better judgement despite them testing ok.
The bedroom has me suspicious as it's tripped when I've plugged different things in and I've had a few appliances go faulty in there, all could be coincidence.
What's strange is after the new RCD was replaced it still tripped off that night without a single thing plugged in, it hasn't since.
I know the electrician was scratching his head when it tripped without anything plugged in as he was stood there as everything tested ok although to my suspicion the earth was a tad high but still within tollarence.
My friend suggested more drastic action as in his words it's definitely happening despite counter indication from the consumer box and sockets.
He's coming back with his friend to split the sockets.
I've been using the electric in the interim and it hasn't tripped since.

I haven’t heard that in yonks. From memory I think I preferred ‘Little Creatures’. I’ll have to have another listen sometime to reevaluate.

Off the top of my head I can only remember’Psycho Killer’ ( I like that). No doubt the other tunes would come flooding back. I do remember the SQ was very good on both albums.
Sorry, I got my tracks/albums mixed up. Having just played ‘Stop Making Sense’ I realised this wasn’t the other album I was thinking of. It was in fact ‘True Stories’, ‘Papa Legba’ and ‘City Of Dreams’ being particularly good, I think.

Reminds me of my dad coming in from a run as 14yr old.
His first serious set up and the neighbours new about for that songs duration.
That and the little known band ratt, I've often wondered if music taste is inherent as I seem to like what he does even now going into classical at 40.
As a teeny it was all decks and followed onto DJing but suprise suprise my father would listen to the "set" tapes I would bring home mainly of 90s hardcore.
Some say they have eclectic taste well mines a proven case.
Today it's the lumineers again Cleopatra, that man's voice is hair on the back of the neck good.
