what are these speakers

i was round my father in laws house other day and his hifi speakers are floorstanders but the top is angled forward with the driver on it. there quite big and was wondering what they are as he wont tell me or let me look? thanks

Have a feeling we may need a bit more information than that to make an identification. Why won't he tell you what they are?

dont know think he wants me to guess? ther about 3 foot tall 1 foot wide and deep. the top is slanted forward and this is where the driver sits. he said there omni directional? sorry not much help

more box shaped but with no driver on front just top. there few years old now and look bit dated. he said he paid 1000 but they sell for nearly 3 now?

I know what they are - Omni-Directional and the Driver on a slant why who else other than

BOSE - We all know Bose now don't we!

Not a Fan myself but this sounds like a pair my old man use to have quite a few years back!
