Hi this is my first
time post so please bear with me!
First a little
history, after purchasing a new AV reciever I decided to update my 3 year old
Onkyo speakers for a more premium package, after looking at the likes of Q
acoustics Boston Acoustics, Jamo and Kef and reading many reviews I decided to
go for the the wharfedale Diamond 10.0 range of speakers Mx10 sub and 10.cc
center speaker all in Walnut. one of the main reasons was that my existing TV
has been recessed into the wall along with a separate slot underneath for the
center speaker the height of which is just over 120mm.
Here in lies the problem, before purchasing the setup I checked the
Wharfedale website for dimensions on the 10.cc it stated the dimensions as
follows :
Dimensions (mm)(H*W*D) 120*340*133
Sadly this is not the case and after receiving delivery of over £600
worth of kit including wall mounts and cables I have discovered that the height
of the center speaker is in fact 132mm and as such does not fit into the
alcove, had I had the correct information in the first instance I would have not
invested in a whole solution where one of the key elements won’t fit.
I am completely stuck as half of the kit is unpackaged and I am unable
to return it and I will have to pay for someone to re-design and rebuild a
section of my wall which is utterly unbelievable.
In honesty the
speakers I have unboxed look absolutely fantastic I am won over on looks alone
and hope they sound as good as they look, however for a first time customer of
Wharfedale I am a little frustrated that something as simple as having the correct
product dimensions on the their website has been overlooked.
I have sent them an
email to see what they can do but really am at a loss.
Just hope no one else
out there hits the same problem!
