Indeed "boybols" sound at bit "roood". (Actually it sounds more like what goes on Christmas trees in the Bronx.)

However 'baubles' don't sound rude at all.

Anyone tempted?

If they're anything like the XP2 version of the 70s they should be cracking. I loved the XP2 with Pioneer amplification so could be a case of seventies revisited.

I cant imagine they sound anything like the old ones unless they were designed to sound rolled off and muffled with poor bass.

Had a pair of Lintons and possibly the worst speakers I have herad.

The review does say the new ones are a relaxing listen :?

I wasn't trying to offend Harbeth owners in any way. I even like their retro looks. And retro is "in" these days.

I have an old pair of Celestion Ditton 33's coupled to an old Sanyo DCA30 and FMT30L combo and absolutely love their looks (I always had a thing for VU meters), so I also like the look of the Onkyo stereo poweramp and the Yamaha posted here.

Anyway, I'll probably audition the new Dentons some day and if I like their sound, I might even buy them too.
