Hi,

New to all of this, but impressed with my VSX 923, apart form one annoying niggle.

I have my Samsung TV connected via HDMI to my VSX 923, with my Sky + box connected via HDMI and SPDIF to my VSX 923.

Everytime my TV turns on, it automatically switches the VSX to TV (not SKY).

If I disable the CEC / Anynet on the TV, then this is fine, but the sound then comes through the TV (apart from causing grief for the wife and kids)

Is there a way round this? I seem to be going round in circles but can never find a decent, easy solution.

Thanks for any help

Provided the Sky HD box has the same hdmi control options available in the settings, the way around this would be to switch the sky box on/off. If the source is switched on from standby, it will switch the amp on, set it to the sky input and it will also switch the tv on.

I'm not sure I understand your problem. Disabling CEC on the TV is the solution (like you already found out yourself). If the sound comes trough the TV, you can do one of these 4 things:

1. Set the volume on the TV to 0

2. Mute the TV

3. Set the audio settings on the TV to "external speakers"

4. Disable HDMI audio pass-trough in the receiver
