I Love V+ and all of the music on demand etc, but I am getting sick of having problems. Most of the time I try to use on demand or catch up I get error codes and it does not work. I am sick of calling the technical people where you end up speaking to people from varying countries across the world who read pre-scripted answers, then claim there is nothing they can do etc.

I am seriously thinking of going back to SKY

Don't use on demand a lot but when I do never have any problems - You could say you want a replacement box as something is obviously not right or probably easier why not reset your box once or twice every day for a week then call and say it keeps freezing and get them to come out and replace it...

... Can't see a downside - now just need to watch the 70hours of "essential" programs we've got recorded - or cut to disc for temporary timeshifting (just in case MPAA reads this!)...
 
Hi,

I believe the new Samsung V+ boxes erase most of the problems however like you i'm sick of my box. I mean how can you justify a box "thinking" about moving on the EPG. It just hangs for like half a minute its so rubbish and whats more so they claimed they would get "more HD content" but its come in drips and drabs. I'm fed up and moving to sky too. Yes sky has its fair share of problems too but you get access to so many more HD channels and even free channels. I'm not one to care for on demand so that argument goes out the window. Besides Sky is forever moving forward and thinking of new things like the 3d inclusion yet we havent even heard of anything from Virgin.....

I don't want to hate Virgin but apart from there phone and Internet they are useless. Customer services are beyond belief I managed to pass off being my dad so many times it defies belief and as Razzler pointed out just pre scripted rubbish they talk to you when you done the basic diagnostics yet they insist you do it over the phone again :s.

Competition is good but i'm seriously thinking if you can even regard Virgin as "competition" for Sky in the television arena. Rant over.
