Not sure what cartridge it had - but you've got a removable headshell - which makes the fitting of an Audio Technica AT VM-95E an easy job 👍

Standard cartridge fitting so pretty much anything will fit. Depends on how much you want to spend.

2/ Cartridge & fit to headshell
you will need a protractor & test record for best results or dealer to Fit cartridge

To be fair you might need a protractor in any case. Not all tonearms are equal..

Yes, this would save you a little bit of time....but lose you a fair bit of money - and you'd still need to slacken off the fixings and align it properly:
