USB sticks

I am using a USB stick (data traveller) in my car for audio. Recently I used another one (Lexar jumpdrive) and was very surprised about the gain in sound quality of the same music files! All other circumstances stayed the same. Does anyone know why it improved and can you recommend any USB sticks for further improvement?

Personally I am extremely dubious that there would be any difference unless one of the sticks is faulty. USB sticks have a much higher data rate than is required for CD quality audio and are very reliable. However I have found this

I have not personally tried any of the apps mentioned, but they might enable you to identify a difference between the sticks. If you find anything please let us know.
