Hi
Simple question. Looking for a small hifi or single unit for a small space (living room)
I have 100's of CD's + 100's of tracks (mp3) on USB drive(stick)
Can someone recommend a small system or individual player that will play both these (CD, USB) don't need radio etc.
with good sound quality and play tracks randomly(shuffle) mode?
Was going to get a denon M41 but I don't think it has USB random capability.
Am a pensioner so looking for something easy & simple to use.
regards
John

Look for a secondhand/demo/used Denon Ceol N10. You'll have to be comfortable with connecting it to your Wifi (once off), and get used to using the app to play USB. Once you get over that, you'll be able to do anything you want.

New, you can also get a Wiim Amp/Pro/Ultra, depending on your budget. Again, you'll need to connect it to Wifi, and use an app for playback.

I don't see a USB input on any of the Denon all in ones. The Marantz CR 612 has and AI claims it will shuffle play a USB stick, Denon and Marantz are the same company and the all in one units I think just offer slightly different inputs etc. You have to step up a couple of levels to get both CD and USB play back on the same unit. They sell for £499 but peter tyson have a nearly new one for £360 described "as new"
