upscaling advice needed please

hi all i have a samsung ps50 557 plasma which is 1080p and a denon 3910 dvd player they are linked together via hdmi ihave the denon set at 720p so my question is which is going to be doing the upscaling the plasma or the dvd player ? and is there any way i can stop the plasma doing the upscaling if it is that that is doing the upscaling at present so i can see which i prefer out of the two a reply asap would be much appreciated thanks

From what I have read of the 3910 it can only output either 720p or 1080i not the full 1080p so your tv is going to have to scale the signal up to 1080p.
