I will be upgrading my amp and cd player and was hoping for some insight/help. I have just purchased (last year) Pro ject RPM 5.2 deck, Monitor Audio GS20 (piano black) with QED silver cables, i listen to a lot of rock and heavy metal it can be on at least 3/4 times a week. I have just auditioned Musical Fidelity M6I dual mono amp and M6 cd player sounded great and looks great, also just looked at Roksan Caspian M-series, but didnt listen to them, i want same make not a mix, in black as they are on full display so they have to also look good !!!

Thanks.

Musical Fidelity and Monitor Audio is a standard pairing and one I've always enjoyed. My favourite "affordable" setup was the Monitor Audio GS20 with Musical Fidelity X-Series V8. Monitor Audio uses (or at least used to) MF electronics to test their speakers; which is likely why the synergy tends to be so good...

Hi,

As Ajani said above, MF + MA is a good combination. I use a MF 3.5 + MF A308 and Monitor Audio RS8.

For me sounds very, very good. So, I guess de newer M6 series with your better Monitor Audio Gold series set should be great!

I'll say this, that MF M6i gear (in black) is some of the sexiest most attractive gear on the market. Love the look...

Well i have spent my money and got the M6i and M6CD with some van den Hul cables so far still gettin use to sound after 22 years of a Kenwood system but i have to say it sounds sh#t hot so far now and again i think i would like a bit more bass.

Thanks Mark

best (value for money) integrated that I have heard has been a musical Fidelity A5 ....works very well with my speakers and cdp

best to listen first and decide for yourself ....

one hifi dealer who posts here frequently (David from Frank Harvey) had the following to say about the Musical Fidelity A5 integrated:

The A5 is a big powerful ball of boring mash - with no heart or sense of musicality
