Upgraded to SKY HD - Will I use all the recorded bits on my standard SKY+ box ? Can I transfer ?

Hi All,

Bitten the bullet and got SKY HD coming Wednesday now that they dropped the price.
FYI I paid £150 for the box BUT got £30 credit on my account and half price HD (£5) for six months after lots of nagging to SKY disconnections department - Worth the haggle!

My question is when my new HD box arrives can I move the content to it from my normal Sky+ box as this will become redundant - Seems to be a dongle style usb port on the front ?

I have loads of stuff I want to keep for a little longer.

Think I have the latest PVR3 style but made by THOMSON.

Only way to keep what is on your Sky+ box is to manually back it up onto DVD AFAIK there is no way of transfering the recorded broadcast info from one box to another.

SKY wouldnt waive the £60 install however agreed to give me half price HD for six months (saving me £30) and an extra £30 credit to cover which I though was a good deal - It did take alot of pushing them (about 40 minutes to cancellations!)
Bummer - Dont think I have a chance to save what on there!
