upgrade of fronts and rear speakers 5.1 system

Hi,

I'm looking to upgrade from these fine but quite old speakers to something with a bit more detail and power. at 70W RMS, the Kefs do feel underpowered. I use 4 of them for surround sound front and rears.

I've been looking at the monitor audio bronze BX1 and BX2 speakers. Would either of these be a good replacement? my budget is upto 500 pounds.

You should also look at a replacement centre speaker if you move away from Kef.

What about Kef's own Q or iQ range?

Hi. I replaced my Kef eggs with BX2 left/right and a BX centre. They are an absolute joy (to my ears). There's a big difference between the BX1 and BX2 so I'd advise a demo.

Give the B&W 684 a listen too and the 685 if you want something smaller. A real contender at this price point!
