Hi

I have a Beresford TC7520 currently upgraded with LM4562NA op amps and it does sound very very good however, i do feel that it could sound better though.

Im considering upgrading the 7520 with a new power supply and a level 3 upgrade from these guys http://www.fidelityaudio.co.uk/beresford_psu.shtml

http://www.fidelityaudio.co.uk/beresford_psu.shtmlThese upgrades are not cheap. At £240 for a new PSU and around £250 for a level 3 upgrade, i could buy a new DAC instead.

Im really not sure whether i should upgrade my DAC or just buy a brand new one. My budget is about £500.

Anyone got any suggestions?

The Musical Fidelity M1 DAC is worth a listen. Might be worth borrowing one from your dealer if you can or arranging a demo in store to compare.

Hi JezBaker

I've not heard this upgraded version of your DAC however if you are also considering a new DAC then i can highly recommend Rega's superb new DAC. I feel Rega's DAC is a bargain at £500

Btw, Rega's DAC works well with Yamaha's A-S500
