So, we decided to spend our week watching the entirety of our measly music DVD collection. Amongst them were the likes of Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, The Who, King Crimson, Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, Massive Attack, Tricky, Portishead and a few others.
It was only on the fourth night we decided to put on a DVD which I bought many years ago, of which I have not heard since the era when my speakers consisted of an ice cream cone and a walnut whip - Nirvana: Unplugged in New York.
The quality of the recording is superb, I was instantly transported back through fifteen years of my life. As much as I've grown out of Nirvana these days, just watching that quietly powerful performance reignites the fire of youth. Highest rated so far, though we're watching the Directors Label box set tomorrow night - Mark Romanek / Johnny Cash - Hurt. Ouch.
