Universal Remote Control for PS3

Very quick question ..... does anyone know if any of the universal remote controls will work with a PS3? I know that the PS3 uses bluetooth, so wasn't sure if they work with it ....

nope, but sony do a standard looking remote for the PS3.

Your only option is to buy something like this, plug the USB dongle into the USB port at the front and then use the rubbish IR remote that comes with it to program your all-in-one remote.

Personally, I just have two remotes, the official Sony one for the PS3 and a Harmony 555 for everything else.

Thanks for the tip ...! What do you reckon the chances are of somone like Logitech releasing a remote with bluetooth?

Since it hasn't yet, and the PS3 is about the only product it'd work with, I'd say slim to minimal.

I recently opted for the cheapest ps3 remote I could find (£10.00) and then used the included remote to code my philips pronto. Works like a dream.

Also the USB IR receiver that came with the remote was black and as a result you can't see it when its plugged in to the ps3 so no issues aesthetically.

In my opinion this setup is much better than using the standard Sony remote.
