I have a unitilite and neat motive 2 se. I can have a great deal on monitor audio gold gx 200. I'll have to spend only 100 euro for this upgrade if i''ll sell my neats.

Will that be a good upgrade for me because gx 200 are really high end speakers?

Does the unitilite combine good with the gx 200?

Anybody any experiences to share?

Grtz

Bargains can be very expensive mistakes and don't always save you money! Just saying that before you get caught up in the moment. And "more expensive" doesn't always equate to "better". Synergy with your amp and your room is more important.

Before purchasing the GX200's, I would carefully consider whether your amp will provide enough current to keep the bass under control (which I would doubt TBH), and whether your room can copy with a speaker of that size without overwhelming it with bass.

In my room (which is about 18ft x 14ft), I have plenty of bass with my GX50's (the smallest in the range), and I'm glad I didn't go for the GX100's. They would have overwhelmed my room. So be really sure that your amp and room can handle the bass before pushing the button!

I'd have to agree. Naim and Neat's have a known synergy. Do you find something lacking with your current set-up?

I guess that if you can audition the GX200s in your room then do so. If you cannot audition I would not spend money on them unless you can guarantee getting that money back if you have to sell them on.

+1

You need to audition the GX200s with your amp. IMO Naim and Monitor Audio does'nt quite gel together due to exaggeration of the high freq. YMMV.
